SPECIAL MEETING PROCEEDINGS
JUNE 23, 2020
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held
on Tuesday, June 23, at 5:00 pm via Zoom.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Councilmember Block, Essler and Freske. Staff
present included City Administrator Martin, Community Development Director Lindquist, City
Clerk Fasbender. Guest present included Rebecca Kurtz of Ehlers.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
City Administrator Martin noted there are no updates to the agenda.
NEW BUSINESS
3.a. Resolution Approving the Elimination of parcels from the Downtown – Brockway Tax
Increment Financing District in the City of Rosemount.
Rebecca Kurtz of Ehlers informed council of the action before them this evening. Parcels within the
new KenRose District were initially part of the Downtown/Brockway TIF District. Based upon
state law the majority of the KenRose parcels had been dropped from the District. Dakota County is
requesting the city council formally remove all of the properties in the KenRose District before the
county will record the new TIF District.
Motion by Block Second by Weisensel
Motion to Adopt the Resolution Approving the Elimination of parcels from the Downtown-
Brockway Tax Increment Financing District in the City of Rosemount.
Ayes: Block, Droste, Essler, Freske, Weisensel
Nays: None. Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no other items before the Council, Mayor Droste made a motion second by Weisensel
to adjourn the meeting at 5:18 p.m.
