SPECIAL MEETING PROCEEDINGS
JUNE 23, 2020
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount Port Authority was held
on June 23, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. virtually via Zoom.
Chair Weisensel called the meeting to order with Commissioners Droste, Freske, Wolf, Essler,
Block, Ober in attendance. Staff present included Executive Director Martin, Deputy Director
Lindquist, City Clerk Fasbender. The guest present was Rebecca Kurtz of Ehlers.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
City Administrator Martin noted there are no updates to the agenda.
Motion by Weisensel Second by Essler
Motion to approve the agenda as presented
Ayes: 7.
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
3.a. Elimination of Parcels from the Downtown – Brockway Tax Increment Financing
District.
Rebecca Kurtz of Ehlers informed the Port Authority of the requested action regarding the
KenRose TIF District. Parcels within the new KenRose District were initially part of the
Downtown/Brockway TIF District. Due to state law, the majority of the KenRose parcels had been
dropped from the District. Dakota County requested the City Council formally remove all the
properties in the KenRose District in order for the county to record the new KenRose TIF District.
Motion by Wolf Second by Freske
Motion to Adopt the Resolution Approving the Elimination of parcels from the Downtown-
Brockway Tax Increment Financing District in the City of Rosemount.
Ayes: Droste, Block, Ober, Weisensel, Essler, Freske, Wolf
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no other items before the Port Authority, Weisensel made a motion and a second by
Essler to adjourn the meeting at 5:45 p.m.
