HomeMy WebLinkAbout20201104 Regular Meeting ProceedingsROSEMOUNT CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS NOVEMBER 4, 2020 CALL TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. in Rosemount Council Chambers 2875 145th Street West. Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council member Block, Essler, Weisensel, and Freske attending. Staff present included the following; • City Administrator Martin • Public Works Director/City Engineer Erickson The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion by Weisensel Second by Block Motion to Adopt the Agenda as presented. Ayes: 5. Nays: None. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT Jason Moore 3685 140th Street West Jason questioned the censoring of the City of Rosemount’s YouTube page. Jason stated one of his comments was removed. Jason also questioned why several apartment buildings were being developed in Rosemount and would like to see more family home’s instead. City Administrator Martin is not aware of any comments being deleted from YouTube and will follow up with City staff and the resident regarding the matter. Mayor Droste responded in response to the additional apartments being built stating it is market driven. Minutes of the October 20 2020 Regular Meeting Proceedings c. Police School Liaison Service Agreement d. 2021 Proposed Front End Loader Purchase e. Ordinance Amendment, City Code 3-1-3-2 Apportionment of Intoxicating Liquor Licenses f. Approval of Driveway Agreement for 12976 Robert Trail South g. Encroachment Agreement – 2823 125th Ct West h. 145th Street Pedestrian Improvements, City Project 447 Final Acceptance and Authorization of Final Payment Ayes: Weisensel, Block, Droste, Essler, Freske Nays: None. Motion carried. ANNOUNCEMENTS 10.a. Staff Updates City Administrator Martin highlighted Rosemount had a 89% voter turnout for the General Election, over 300 cars at the recent Cruising for Candy Event and thanked folks for participating in the recent scarecrow contest. 10.b. Upcoming Community Calendar Mayor Droste reviewed the calendar of events and upcoming meetings. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the City Council at the regular council meeting and upon a motion by Droste and a second by Essler the meeting was adjourned at 7:12 pm.
