REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
NOVEMBER 17, 2020
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount Port Authority was held
on November 17, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. in Rosemount Council Chambers 2875 145 th Street West.
Chair Weisensel called the meeting to order with Commissioners Droste, Freske, Essler, Block,
Ober, Wolf in attendance. Staff present included Executive Director Martin, Deputy Director
Lindquist, Economic Development Coordinator Van Oss and City Clerk Fasbender.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA
Executive Director Martin stated there were no changes to the agenda.
Motion by Wolf Second by Essler
Motion to Adopt the Agenda.
Ayes: 7
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
CONSENT AGENDA
Motion by Wolf Second by Essler
Motion to Approve Consent Agenda
Ayes: Droste, Block, Ober, Weisensel, Essler, Freske, Wolf
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
4.a. Project Updates
Economic Development Coordinator Van Oss discussed the status of current projects. The Lorenz
Clinic has been completed and they are in the process of finishing final inspections. The Clover
building permit has been issued and alternations are in process . Super America has a December
court date on the property which may allow the property to be sold .
NEW BUSINESS
5.a. Shop Local Initiative
City staff has moved forward with the shop local initiative for the Holiday Season. Economic
Development Coordinator Van Oss further elaborated about the initiative including the shop local
bags, pop up events, and highlighted local ads.

5.b. Minneapolis Real Estate Journal Land Summit
City staff took part in the 2020 Industrial Summit. Community Development Director Lindquist
highlighted the summit and reviewed a few discussions that took place. Industrial development has
been strong in 2020 and staff is hopeful that several developments will move forward on industrial
sites in Rosemount.
CHAIRPERSON’S REPORT
Chairperson Weisensel recapped the National League of City seminar he recently attended.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT
City Administrator Martin gauged the interest level for a liquor license reimbursement for 2021. Port
Authority was in favor to offer a 3-month reimbursement with the direction to reevaluate for
additional reimbursements in February/March.
Community Development Director Lindquist reminded Port Authority that the next regular meeting
on December 15th will start at 5:00 p.m.
REPORTS FROM PORT AUTHORITY COMMIS SIONERS
None
COMMUNITY/AUDIENCE RECOGNITION
Community Development Director Lindquist presented the recent award granted to the City of
Rosemount of a Leaders in Local Government Award in the Business Expansion and Retention
category from the Saint Paul Area Chambers of Commerce and East Metro Chamber Partners.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Port Authority and upon a motion by Essler
second by Droste the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 6:34 p.m.
