ATTACHMENTS: Resolution APPROVED BY: LJM RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: Resolution to Approve Final Payment to Classic Protective Coatings for Chippendale Water Tower Reconditioning, City Project 2019-02 and Accepting the Improvements for Perpetual Maintenance BACKGROUND On January 15, 2019, the City Council awarded a contract to Classic Protective Coatings for the interior and exterior reconditioning of the Chippendale Water Tower. Work began in late summer of 2019 and was completed in late October 2019. The final remaining work of ground restoration was completed late summer of 2020 in conjunction with the reinstallation of cellular antennas on the tower. The cost of restoration was shared equally between the cellular providers and the contractor. Throughout the course of construction there were no contract modifications and the final cost of construction was $569,850.00. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution accepting the improvements and authorizing final payment to Classic Protective Coating for the Chippendale Water Tower Restoration , City Project 2019-02. 2 CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2021 – 04 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FOR CHIPPENDALE WATER TOWER RECONDITIONING CITY PROJECT 2019-02 WHEREAS, the contractor for the Chippendale Water Tower Reconditioning has completed all requirements documentation and a final pay request for City acceptance of the public improvements, and; WHEREAS, KLM Engineering has confirmed the public improvements were installed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and finds the improvements acceptable. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota.
