APPROVED BY: LJM RECOMMENDED ACTION: Discuss ion Item BACKGROUND Perkins and Will held a Commercial Site Visioning Joint Session on December 15th, 2020. The consultant used the information gleaned from the October Charrette activity to develop initial site design and concept plans. Multiple alternatives were provided for each of the commercial sites. The proposed concepts incorporated the Charrette insights with market trends and the City’s Land Use Plan. Initial concepts and the rational for each were presented prior to a group activity. Concept plans were made virtually accessible via the Miro application. Members of the City Council, Port Authority, and Planning Commission used the Joint Session place comments/sticky notes on each of the site plans. At this meeting, the consultants will provide enhanced designs addressing many of the comments from the December meeting. The January 19th Joint Session will be the final opportunity for the comments and feedback to be incorporated into the final renderings for the two sites presented. Reviewing sites will be split between the January and February Joint Session as we approach the final product. Th e January Joint Session will focus on Site 2 (145th Street) and Sites 3/4 (Akon and Country Road 42). The remaining sites will be discussed at the February Joint Session meeting. RECOMMENDATION Discuss any issues regarding the final concept plans for Sites 2, 3, and 4 and provide feedback to Perkins and Will.
