ATTACHMENTS: None APPROVED BY: LJM RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve the Renewal of a Consumption and Display Permit for The Meeting Point on the premise located at 14537 Dodd Blvd BACKGROUND On October 1, 2019 the City Council issued a Consumption and Display (Set Up) Permit to The Meeting Point, LLC. The Consumption and Display (Set Up) Permit expires annually on March, 31st. The license will not be effective until approved by the City of Rosemount and final approval is received by the Department of Public Safety/Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division. The State fee for the license is $250 and the City fee is $140. City Code allows for Consumption and Display (Set Up) Permits to be issued to business establishments in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Section 340A.414 for the consumption or display of intoxicating liquor or the serving of any liquid for the purpose of mixing with intoxicating liquor. The permit does not authorize the sale of intoxicating liquor. The Meeting Point will be subject to inspection by the commissioner and the commissioner’s representative and by peace officers, who may enter and inspect during reasonable hours. Intoxicating liquor sold, served or displayed in violation of law may be seized. The Police Department has conducted the appropriate background check and determined that there are no issues that would disqualify the applicant from renewing its liquor license. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends renewal of the Consumption and Display Permit for The Meeting Point, LLC on the premise located at 14537 Dodd Blvd.
