RECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff is recommending that the City Council receive the bids
for the Jaycee and Connemara Park Irrigation Projects and award the bid to the low bidder
for the base bid and the two bid alternates, Friedges Landscaping, in the amount of
$130,000.
BACKGROUND
The Parks and Recreation Department with assistance from Public Works staff recently put the Jaycee and
Connemara Park Irrigation Projects out to public bid. We received bids from four landscaping contractors.
The funding for the project would come from the Long Term Parks Capital Improvement Plan Budget. Bid
alternate #1 is the parking lot island and boulevard area at Jaycee Park and bid alternate #2 is the space
between the parking lot and boulevard at Connemara Park. Listed below are the bid results:

This project will start and be completed in 2021.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending that the City Council receive the bids for the Jaycee and Connemara Park Irrigation
Projects and award the bid to the low bidder for the base bid and the two bid alternates, Friedges
Landscaping, in the amount of $130,000.
