1. CALL TO ORDER: Eliason called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: None
3. APPROVAL OF THE May 21, 2018 REGULAR MEETING MINUTES:
MOTION by Young to approve the minutes of the May 21, 2018 meeting. SECOND by Tilson.
Ayes: 9 Nays: 0 Motion passed.
4. AUDIENCE INPUT: None
5. DISCUSSION: None
6. OLD BUSINESS: RHS Students / Climate Control Resolution - Director Schultz will bring back to
the Commission a version of the Red Wing letter in resolution format and also report on what the
Sustainability Task Force recommendations are before bringing the item to City Council.
7. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Wexford Place Master Plan Development — Developer Ron Clark is proposing to build a 49 unit apartment
building near the intersection of Chippendale Avenue and County Road 46. The developer is requesting that we
consider giving them park dedication credit for recreation equipment they install. MOTION by Tilson to collect
cash in lieu of land in the amount of $122,500.00. SECOND by Eliason. Ayes: 9 Nays: 0 Motion passed.
b. Emerald Ash Borer — Update on the status of the Emerald Ash Borer in Rosemount.
c. Director's Report — Park Improvement Fund Balance as of May 31, 2018: $745,276.05 Inflows to
the Park Improvement Fund last month were as follows:
Dedication fees — $178,226.79
Grants/Other - $0
Interest - $110.02
Donations - $0
Expenditures - $8,269.60 (Horseshoe Lake Park Design Fees)
Spring Clean Up — Our Spring Clean-up was held on Saturday, May 19 at Dakota County
Technical College. We serviced 445 vehicles at the event this year, the highest number ever to
attend one of our clean-up events.
Chippendale Park - The playground at Chippendale Park has been completed.
Youth Commission Tree Planting - On Wednesday, May 23, members of the Youth
Commission planted three trees in Greystone Park as part of their living tree legacy program.
Garden Plots — All garden plots have been requested and are being used.

Horseshoe Lake Park — The Horseshoe Lake Park Project is out for bid and we hope to
start construction on the project in July.
Connemara Park - The playground installation at Connemara has been completed except for a
few items that are back ordered. The playground was instantly popular with area families.
8. ADJOURNMENT - MOTION by Farrell to adjourn the meeting. SECOND by Bartz.
Ayes: 9 Nays: 0 Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
