Project Brainstorming EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Technology Task Force Meeting: March 10, 2021 AGENDA ITEM: Project Brainstorming AGENDA SECTION: Discussion PREPARED BY: Aaron Menza, GIS Analyst AGENDA NO. 4.a. ATTACHMENTS: Technology Task Force Brainstorming Examples APPROVED BY: LJM RECOMMENDED ACTION: Discuss Task Force vision statements and project ideas ISSUE In order to jump-start the brainstorming process, City Staff has created a Project and Vision Statement Brainstorming chart. BACKGROUND Vision statements were created by City staff to lead the conversation. Additionally, project examples that were discussed at the February Technology Task Force meeting were broken out into three categories – Internal Workflows, Public Facing, Community Projects – and were assigned a broad deadline based on City resources and project scope. This document was created for example purposes, although all items listed are reasonable projects for the Task Force to work on. The main goal of the meeting on March 10, 2021 is to have members bring their project ideas to the group. We will place each suggested project into one of the three categories and try to assign a reasonable timeframe. Depending upon meeting time, staff is hopeful we can start prioritizing various projects so at the April meeting the group can begin project-related work. RECOMMENDATION Staff is recommending that the Task Force has a discussion on its vision statement and project ideas, utilizing the attached layout.
