REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
February 10, 2021
INTRODUCTIONS
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the meeting of the Technology Task Force of the City of
Rosemount was called to order on February 10, 2021 at 6:32 p.m. virtually via Zoom.
Attendees included Task Force Members: Mohammad Khan, Furhath Arnob, Joe Duffy, Tony Hall,
Steve Thoennes, Robert Kidwell, and Samuel Mwangi.
Staff present included the following;
• GIS Analyst Aaron Menza
• City Administrator Logan Martin
• Community Development Director Kim Lindquist
City Council present included the following;
• Councilmember Heidi Freske (Councilmember Liaison)
• Councilmember Jeff Weisensel
Members took the opportunity to introduce themselves and share a little bit about their background.
City Administrator Martin shared the City Council’s vision and guidance from the City Council.
Community Development Director Lindquist suggested members review the city’s website prior to
the next meeting to familiarize members of the city operations and review Rosemount’s
demographics under the Economic Development page.
The goal for the future meetings is to develop a work plan for the taskforce.
CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION REVIEW
3.a Inventory of current systems
GIS Analyst Menza provided a high-level overview of the City’s current software inventory for each
department.
OVERVIEW OF EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURE
GIS Analyst Menza provided a presentation regarding our current existing infrastructure. The city’s
IT Specialist will join a future meeting to further elaborate on our current existing infrastructure.
Councilmember Weisensel stated technology to advance internal efficiencies & engagement to reach
out to residents are important goals for council.
GIS Analyst Menza encouraged members to submit any potential project ideas and the list will be
shared at the March meeting.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the taskforce at the regular meeting the meeting
was adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
