RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve receipt of an anonymous donation in the
amount of $5,000 to the Rosemount Fire Department.
BACKGROUND
In late January, the Fire Department received an anonymous monetary donation left at the Fire Department.
Staff has attempted to determine who generously donated $5,000 to the Department, but we have been
unable to do so.
City Attorney Tietjen provided guidance on how best to handle this donation, and it was determined that
accepting the cash donation into the Fire Department’s donation account would be the best action going
forward.
We sincerely appreciate this donation and it will be put to good use by the Department. It is unfortunate
that we can’t directly thank the donor, but it’s clear they wished to remain anonymous in this generous act.

Staff recommends the Council receive the above listed donation.
