DISCUSSION
The ESC Outreach & Education for 2021 were approved at the December Commission Meeting. Some
outreach items have been assigned to specific commissioners for completion, such as some of the blog
posts. The intent of this item is to review the calendar for updates and share ideas. A copy of the
education calendar will be viewed at the meeting . Here are some highlights:
1. The ESC will be staffing a booth at the Home & Business Expo at Hope Field House on May 8.
2. The ESC will be staffing a booth at Leprechaun Days on July 23 (5:00PM – 11:00PM) and July 24
(1:00PM – 11:00PM). Firefighter Relief Association Pancake Breakfast TBD
3. Blog post on lawn watering – looking for an author
4. Blog post on native plants & pollinators – tentatively scheduled for Erin
5. Potential activities – seed/plant/swap/exchange/library
6. Upcoming events & promotions by others:
a. Landscaping for Clean Water workshops
b. Burnsville Native Plant Market
c. Landscape Revival Native Plant Market & Expo
d. Recycling Association of Minnesota Rain Barrel & Compost Bin Sale
i. Dakota County Discount
