ATTACHMENTS: None APPROVED BY: LJM RECOMMENDED ACTION: Informational item only BACKGROUND A component of the implementation plan for our 2021 Goals is to do a quarterly check-in on progress made. Below please find a table of information that conveys some of the traction that is underway on the strategic actions that support the goals. Note that not all goals are covered below, simply the items with relevant updates. Connecting and Engaging the Community Strategic Action Update Next Steps Develop Social Media policy Draft complete Council authorization in June Citizens engaged to assist with website Tech Task Force selected this as top priority TTF meeting with Staff next month to start deeper analysis Re-engage Council Out and About Outing in April with Volunteers Continue outings at summer events / sports Inventory events and develop policy for broadcasting community events CM Block did initial research and met with Martin Staff investigate options with web provider and develop policy Growing Rosemount Strategic Action Update Next Steps Commercial marketing plan initiated Retail visioning work done, initial marketing developed for use at upcoming events Complete full marketing plan and strategy Commercial Site Sold at Akron Active offer under consideration for a 13-acre parcel to construct a Rec Center Awaiting response from seller and further development agreements Amber Fields Concept approved Staff supporting development team on preparation of their submittal documents Site plan etc. submittal expected in the next 60 days, would lead to grading in the Fall 2 Wastewater Re-use Funding approved at Legislature Bills heard this Session by House and Senate, staff testified in support Monitor final results of Session and implement project if funded Approve second spec building in Business Park Application expected in the near term from a user Process application and complete project Complete plan for utilities East of Hwy 52 Active AUAR underway east of 52, utility investigation work underway to support Respond to AUAR, process application and complete project Enhancing Quality of Life Strategic Action Update Next Steps Define scope of Dog Park P & R Commission discussed issue in April, sites under consideration Finalize site investigation and pursue implementation Rec Center agreement is signed Multiple term sheet iterations completed Contract developed as a result of term sheet, considered by CC in the next 45 days Develop expanded events New concert festival acquired in June, P & R developed “Saturday Shows” at the Bandshell through summer. Discuss and research additional events, complete an inventory Re-establish Volunteer Network Committee New members recruited from Commissioner application process Meeting with the group on May 3 to start working together Summer Farmer’s Market open Market confirmed for Tuesdays (starting 6/15), Saturdays are pending based on vendor availability Continue program Developing a High Performing Organization Strategic Action Update Next Steps Complete compensation / benefit study RFP distributed, 3 firms interviewed, firm has been chosen Begin work with consultant, final result expected in 5 months Complete design, secure land, hire builder for PW / PD facility Land swap approved by Flint Hills and Nat’l Guard Complete legal steps to swap land, RFP for architect and begin process Develop early retirement incentive policy Draft completed Complete final work and present to City Council Identify add’l process to be electronic Testing phase for paperless purchase orders underway Final tweaks to make, should be implemented in late summer RECOMMENDATIONS No action requested, informational update only.
