RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive update and discuss the City of Rosemount’s Campus
Safety Plan.
BACKGROUND
Cities throughout Dakota County have been recently working to create formalized Campus Safety Plans to
address any threats that could occur to municipal buildings. Chief Dahlstrom has taken the lead on creating
this plan with input from partner agencies in the County.
During the work session, the Chief will give a broad overview of the strategies which would be utilized to
protect our assets, along with the various roles of staff and elected officials during an event.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff requests the City Council receive a verbal update and engage in dialogue on the City’s Campus Safety
Plan.
