Motion to Approve a Temporary On-Sale Liquor License Issued to Rosemount American
Legion Post 65 to Hold an event on July 23rd and 24th, 2021, at 14590 Burma Ave, Subject
to Conditions W ithin the Staff Report.
BACKGROUND
The Rosemount American Legion Post 65 (American Legion) has submitted a request for a Temporary
On-Sale Liquor License at 14590 Burma Avenue. The purpose of the request is to hold a Leprechaun
Days event in their parking lot.
Staff recommends approval of the temporary license as requested by the American Legion to hold an
event on July 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and July 24th from 12:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The approvals
are subject to the following conditions:
1. The parking lot area be fenced in a manner consistent with prior years and approved by the
Rosemount Chief of Police.
2. Access points to the fenced area are staffed by the American Legion to control entry/exit.
Additional security staff will be hired by the American Legion and will roam and be stationed
to monitor any issues with fencing/unlawful entry.
3. Any music cannot be played beyond 11 p.m.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of a Temporary Liquor License to the Rosemount American Legion Post 65
for an event on July 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and July 24th from 12:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
