ISSUE At our meeting in May and June, the Parks and Recreation Commission started discussing the creation of a new priority list for Parks and Recreation projects that would be identified in the City’s 10 year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP Budget). The CIP Budget includes larger parks, recreation facility projects, equipment purchases and is updated annually. Included in the packet is a list updated from our discussion last month. Staff would like for the Commission to again discuss the project list and provide feedback to staff and consider voting on the approval of the attached list. Parks and Recreation Commission Priority List Short Term Projects • Off Leash Dog Park • Pickle Ball Courts • UMore Park Concessions and Restroom Building • 13 year old baseball field (possible Partnership with ISD 196) • Full Sized baseball field (possible Partnership with DCTC) • Refurbish/Redesign Erickson Park Ballfields • Redevelop Central Park and Public Works Campus Area • Partnership with ISD 196 on Development of School in Amber Fields Long Term Projects • Passive Water Recreation • Complete Trail Around Horseshoe Lake • Land for Additional Facilities • Future Ice Sheet
