Park Improvement Fund Balance as of June 30, 2021: $3,070,831.16 Inflows to the Park Improvement Fund last month were as follows: Dedication fees – $0 Grants/Other - $0 Interest - $80.21 Donations - $0 Expenditures – $103,443 (Central Park Concrete and Fencing at Flint Hills) Nice Note to Staff - “I am my grandson's caregiver this summer, and I wanted to tell you how happy I am with the beautiful job you do with your parks, and also with the entertainment at Central Park. We love your splash pad as well!! I take my grandson to a different park each day, and the variety is fantastic! Keep up the great work! You play a valuable part in our kid's lives!” Summer programs - The first week of summer youth programming in the Parks and Recreation Department got off to a great start! We held staff training, began morning and evening pre-school sports, day camps, tennis lessons and the Kids Corner program. We ended the week with Safety Camp. With loads of help from the Police and Fire Departments, about 100 kids participated in educational and fun safety sessions throughout the day.
