BACKGROUND
At its July 14th meeting, the task force discussed opportunities for promoting the construction of electric
vehicle charging stations around the city, including the possibility of requiring developers to construct
charging stations in new residential and commercial development projects. Task force members agreed to
research these opportunities while city staff would research similar requirements in other metro cities.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending that the task force discusses their findings and their next steps.
