ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Site Location; Rosemount Car Club Plat APPROVED BY: LJM RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to adopt a resolution approving the vacation of the drainage and utility easement over all of Outlot A, Rosemount Car Club BACKGROUND The City Council approved the Rosemount Car Club plat in March of 2020 to facilitate the development of a car condo storage facility on the northern portion of the plat area and to split of the southern portion for future development. A blanket drainage and utility easement was dedicated over all of the southern parcel, Outlot A, due to the continued use of the western side of the property for stormwater conveyance and ponding. Seefried Industrial Properties, Inc., is proposing to combine the land contained within Outlot A and the land immediately south into a single parcel to facilitate the development of a warehouse/distribution center, and a vacation of the drainage and utility easement over Outlot A, Rosemount Car Club, is required. The JJT Business Park 2nd Addition plat which encompasses the Seefried development dedicates all drainage and utility easements required by the City. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Council approve the vacation of the blanket drainage and utility easement over Outlot A, Rosemount Car Club. CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2021-68 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VACATION OF THE DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT OVER OUTLOT, ROSEMOUNT CAR CLUB WHEREAS, the City of Rosemount received an application from JJT Financial LP and Seefried Industrial Properties, Inc. for the vacation of the drainage and utility easement over Outlot A, Rosemount Car Club; and WHEREAS, on August 17, 2021, the City of Rosemount City Council reviewed and approved the Final Plat for JJT Business Park 2nd Addition; and WHEREAS, the vacation of the existing drainage and utility easements legally described below is required for development of JJT Business Park 2nd Addition; and WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed this request and conducted a public hearing on August 17, 2021. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Council of the City of Rosemount hereby approves the Vacation of the Drainage and Utility Easements, legally described as: All drainage and utility easements lying over, under, and across OUTLOT A, ROSEMOUNT CAR CLUB, according to the recorded plat thereof, Dakota County, Minnesota.
