BACKGROUND
Members of the Rosemount Environment and Sustainability Commission (ESC) will attend the work
session to provide an update on their goals for 2021. Throughout the last year they have had the following
goals on their agenda:
• Collaboration Procedures
• Green Development Regulations
• Sustainable Purchasing
• Composting Access and Education
• Promotion of the Energy Action Plan
• Native Plants and Pollinator Habitat
In addition, the Council direction was given in June to review air quality regulations and permitting.
The ESC is also seeking input and direction for other goals that the Council would like them to add to
their work plan.
Finally, they recently changed their normal meeting days to better provide Council members an
opportunity to attend their meetings. ESC will begin meeting on the second Tuesday of the month
starting in October .

Info only. Participate in discussion of the Environment and Sustainability Commission’s goal and
accomplishments.
