DISCUSSION
The ESC Outreach & Education for 2021 were approved at the December Commission Meeting. Some
outreach items have been assigned to specific commissioners for completion, such as some of the blog
posts. The intent of this item is to review the calendar for updates and share ideas. Highlights are below:
1. October blog post – Halloween related recycling: candy - Victoria
2. November blog post – Radon Testing Your Home as You Close Things Up for Winter - Tina
3. December blog post – Holiday related recycling: lights, wrapping paper, etc.
4. Other blog post topics that have been passed over from previous months:
a. Road or softener salt reduction
b. Energy topic related to the season
5. Holidays/events of note
a. November 6 & 7 – Pumpkin Recycling
b. November 11 – Veterans’ Day
c. November 25 – Thanksgiving
d. Thursday December 2, 5:30-7:30PM – Commission Recognition Banquet
6. City Council “Out & About” events
a. Saturday November 20, 6:00-7:00PM – Steeple Center Tree Lighting
