Retirement – Tom Schuster, Parks Supervisor, is retiring in early February. Tom has been a vital member
of the parks and recreation department for nearly 18 years. He has played a key role in overseeing many
park improvement projects, city cleanup days, the garden plot program, the city’s solid waste collection
and way too much to include in this report. Tom’s last day at the City will February 4th. Please see the
attached flyer regarding a celebration of Tom’s work in Rosemount.
Breakfast with Santa - The Parks and Recreation Department hosted the annual Breakfast with Santa in
the Banquet Hall at RCC on December 4th. Families enjoyed a continental breakfast while making crafts
together, followed by a visit and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. We receive many positive reviews of
this program and it is a great way for families to see and talk with Santa at a manageable cost.
