PARKS & RECRE ATION COMMISSION

1. CALL TO ORDER: Eliason called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m.
2. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA: None
3. APPROVE MEETING MINUTES: May 24, 2021

5. DISCUSSION (Response to Audience Input): None
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
a. Central Park, Public Works Facilities and Erickson Park Future Planning – The City of Rosemount
2021 CIP Budget has funding identified for hiring a designer to help the City with master planning for
Central Park and the current Public Works facility. In the future, a new public works facility will be built in a
new location and we need to discuss what the next use of the site will be. Another project that staff will be
looking to add to the 2022 CIP Budget is the refurbishing of Erickson Park.
b. Parks and Recreation Commission Priority Projects - Parks and Recreation Commissioners started
discussing the creation of a new priority list for Parks and Recreation projects that would be identified in the
City’s 10-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP Budget). The CIP Budget includes larger parks, recreation
facility projects, equipment purchases and is updated annually.
7. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Director’s Report
Park Improvement Fund Balance as of May 31, 2021: $3,174,193.95
Inflows to the Park Improvement Fund last month were as follows:
Dedication fees – $193,800.00
Grants/Other - $0
Interest - $69.16
Donations - $0
Expenditures - $4815.40 (Flint Hills field signs and skate park site improvements planning plans)
8. ADJOURNMENT - MOTION by DeBettignies to adjourn the meeting. SECOND by Bonkoski.
Ayes:7 Nays: 0 Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 8:14 p.m.
