CALL TO ORDER: Eliason called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 2. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA: None 3. APPROVE MEETING MINUTES: August 23, 2021 Approved by Speich, Second by DeBettignies. Ayes: 8 Nays: 0 4. AUDIENCE INPUT: None 5. DISCUSSION (Response to Audience Input): None 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None 7. NEW BUSINESS: a. 131st Ct Trail Extension - Commission discussed the option of paying to extend the trail while considering the impact to the trees, the neighbors and the general trail users. The City will further investigate the cost of the proposed connection and discuss the switchback option with the four neighbors bordering the project site. b. Proposed changes to Park Ordinances – Staff will bring back with recommended changes for further discussion and recommendations. c. Development of a Pump Track – MOTION by DeBettignies to support the development of a pump track at the east end of Schwarz Pond Park. SECOND by McDonald. Ayes: 8 Nays: 0 Motion passed. d. Director’s Report Park Improvement Fund Balance as of August 31, 2021: $3,141,822.69 Inflows to the Park Improvement Fund last month were as follows: Dedication fees – $3,400 Grants/Other - $0 Interest - $116.88 Donations - $0 Expenditures - $18,222.22 (Fiber install to Flint Hills Fields and Field Netting at Flint Hills Fields) 8. ADJOURNMENT - MOTION by Farrell to adjourn the meeting. SECOND by Speich. Ayes: 8 Nays: 0 Motion passed.
