ISSUE
The City recently received quotes for site and landscape improvements at the skate park located in
Schwarz Pond Park. There were five contractors who provided good quotes to the City for the project (see
attached list below).

BACKGROUND
The site improvements for part A of the of the project includes hardscape improvements such as some
additional concrete, a sidewalk, sun shelter and a trail (see attached plan A). The site improvements for
plan B of the project include mainly landscape improvements. New plantings, stone work, and boulder
seating areas are included (see attached plan B).
RECOMMENDATION
The recommendation for this item will be developed after the Commission discusses the merits of the two
projects.
