RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to recommend the City Council accept the quotes and
award the contract to the lowest bidder, Odessa II, for the Hardscape Site Improvement
Project at the Skate Park.
BACKGROUND
The City recently received quotes for hardscape site improvements at the skate park located in Schwarz
Pond Park. There were six contractors who provided quotes to the City for the project (see the list below).
The architects estimate for the project was $118,000.

The lowest responsible quote for the project was submitted by Odessa II. Should he project be approved,
work will start this spring and be finished up in early summer. On March 28, the Parks and Recreation
Commission recommended the City Council approve the low bid for the project.
The site improvements for the project includes hardscape improvements such as some additional concrete,
a sidewalk, sun shelter and a trail. The 2022 Capital Improvements Plan contains adequate funding for this
project via the Park Dedication Fund.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending the City Council accept the quotes and award the contract to the lowest bidder,
Odessa II, for the hardscape site improvements at the skate park.
