I represent the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as legal counsel. I have been asked to respond to
your letter of December 12, 2002, to the City Clerk, Ms. Linda Jentink.
The City maintains cash deposits to pay expenses associated with development of subdivisions in
the City. At any given time there may be between 10 or 20 such deposits. Funds are typically
expended within 60 days and are replenished when necessary.
The information relating to these funds is available for your inspection at city hall during normal
business hours. If you wish for the City to collect all of the infomration requested in your letter,
it is estimated that the cost of retrieving the infomration and the cost of making copies will be
approximately $300. Upon receipt of your check in that amount, the City will begin preparation
of copies of the documents requested.
