RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive update from design team and discuss next steps.
BACKGROUND
The initial processes leading to the development of the Police & Public Works Campus are underway, as
staff has completed tours of facilities, completed equipment / personnel inventories and projections, and
bi-weekly meetings with the design team.
Staff would now like to engage the Council in a high-level update on the status of the project. The design
team from BKV / Oertel will be on hand to give an update and show some massing examples. We are a
few months from a formal design with much more work and input to come from all stakeholders.
Designers will also engage the Council in a discussion on design elements that are important to include,
such as features that reflect the City’s history and future.
RECOMMENDATION
No action needed. Receive the update from staff and consultants and discuss next steps.
