ROSEMOUNT YOUTH COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
December 18, 2019
1. CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount Youth Commission was
held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 3:45 p.m. at the Steeple Center, 14375 South Robert Trail,
Rosemount.
Commissioner Chair Armstrong called the meeting to order with Youth Commissioners Bauman,
Chumbley, Gallagher, Henkemeyer, Kenninger, Laurent, and Leholm were present. Assistant City
Administrator Emmy Foster, Council Member Jeff Weisensel, former Council Member Kim Shoe-
Corrigan, Logan Martin, City Administrator, Stacy Bodsberg, City Staff/Event Organizer, and
Recording Secretary Sandi Amundson were also present. Commissioner’s Bharath, Nozal, and
Ramesh were absent.
2. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA
None
Motion by Armstrong. Second by Bauman.
Motion to Adopt the Agenda.

3. AUDIENCE INPUT
None
4. CONSENT AGENDA
Motion by Armstrong. Second by Gallagher
Motion to approve the Consent Agenda.
Ayes: 8
Nays: 0. Absent: 3. Motion carried.
5. OLD BUSINESS
a. Goal Setting Wrap Up – The accumulated Short-Term and Long-Term Goals were
discussed. Many are pertinent to the Parks and Recreation Department, so Director
Dan Schultz will be invited to the next meeting to further discuss.
6. NEW BUSINESS
a. Stacy Bodsberg, City Staff/Event Organizer – Bodsberg discussed the upcoming
th
Home Expo on Saturday, March 14 and presented the Commission with an
opportunity for fundraising for the Youth Commission Scholarship. The Youth
Commission indicated interest in selling donuts and coffee from 8-10 a.m. A
commitment is needed to ensure that this is covered on the day of the Expo.
Commissioners will be asked to sign-up for the event.
b. RHS Scholarship Discussion – The Commissioners reviewed and amended the 2020
RHS Youth Commission Scholarship Application.
c. Roundtable Discussion: The Youth Commissioners shared their current and
upcoming activities with the group. Topics included school events, Onstage,
Christmas break, and testing.
7. REPORTS
a. Commission Member Reports
The Tree Lighting event went well. Everyone enjoyed the gratitude wall, and the kids
like the coloring event.
b. Next Meeting Date – Next Meeting Date January 22, 2020 at 3:45 p.m. at the Steeple
Center, Room 202, 14375 South Robert Trail.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, it was moved by Armstrong and seconded by Henkemeyer
that the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously, and the meeting was adjourned at
5:20 p.m.
