CALL TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount Youth Commission was held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 3:45 p.m. via Zoom. Chairperson J. Kenninger called the meeting to order with Youth Commissioners Gallagher, Halla, Henkemeyer, A. Kenninger, Laurent, Leholm, Nozal, Passeri, Ramesh, Standing, and Stenger were present. Assistant City Administrator Emmy Foster was also present. Commissioners Bauman and Chumbley, Council Member Jeff Weisensel, Former Councilmember Kim Shoe-Corrigan and Recording Secretary Sandi Amundson were absent. 2. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA None Motion by J. Kenninger. Second by Ramesh Motion to Adopt the Agenda. Ayes: 12 Nays: 0. Absent: 2. Motion carried. 3. AUDIENCE INPUT None 4. CONSENT AGENDA Motion by J. Kenninger Second by Ramesh Motion to approve the Consent Agenda. Ayes: 12 Nays: 0. Absent: 2. Motion carried. 5. OLD BUSINESS None 6. NEW BUSINESS a. Parks and Recreation Director Dan Schultz - Updates Director Schultz update the group on several projects including the new skate park, the UMore Ball Fields and the Flint Hills Athletic Fields. Schultz also mentioned the Cruising for Candy event, MEA Break events, and the upcoming programs that will be offered to citizens. He provided some COVID related updates to their programs/operations as well. st b. Tree Lighting Event – November 21 at 5:30 p.m. Youth Commission members are invited to volunteer at the event and should email Foster if they are interested and available to assist that evening. c. Leadership Lesson Foster reminded the group to submit their leadership items to Council member Jeff Weisensel. d. Attendance Subcommittee Assignment Attendance issues need to be addressed by a subcommittee. J. Kenninger, Ramesh, Nozal, Leholm and Passeri volunteered to serve on the subcommittee. e. Roundtable Discussion School, work, college plans, cheer, sports, homework, military and eagle projects, and other activities discussed with the group. 7. REPORTS a. Commission Member Reports None b. Next Meeting Date – Next meeting date will be November 18, 2020 at 3:45 p.m. via Zoom. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to discuss, it was moved by J. Kenninger and seconded by Nozal that the meeting be adjourned.
