RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the receipt and expenditure of $1250 in
donations to the police and fire department to be utilized for officer wellness
BACKGROUND
The Police Equipment Fund has been set up for the purpose of receiving donations that are designated for
the Police Department. Expenditures from this account are only made after approval is received from the
City Council.
On March 18, Iron Heart Pro Wrestling hosted a live professional wrestling fundraiser at the Rosemount
Community Center. The organization reached out to the police and fire departments and offered to
graciously donate proceeds from the event to officer wellness. The Iron Heart Pro Wrestling organization
is led by Rosemount resident Dr. James Young, and Dr. Young recently dropped off a check for $1,250 to
be split amongst the police and fire departments.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Council approve the receipt and expenditure of the $1250 received for officer wellness
in the police and fire departments.

RESOLUTION 2022 - XX
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION TO THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Rosemount is generally authorized to accept donations of real and
personal property pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 465.03 for the benefit of its citizens and is
specifically authorized to accept gifts.
WHEREAS, the following persons and entities have offered to contribute the cash amounts set
forth below to the city:

Iron Heart Pro Wrestling $1,250
WHEREAS, all such donations have been contributed to the city for the benefit of its citizens, as
allowed by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donations offered.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The donations described above are accepted and shall be used to establish and/or operate
services either alone or in cooperation with others, as allowed by law.
2. The city clerk is hereby directed to issue receipts to each donor acknowledging the city’s
receipt of the donor’s donation.
ADOPTED this 21st day of June, 2022, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount.
