Members Absent: James Bonkoski, Mike Eliason and Jim Young
Staff Present: Dan Schultz, Director of Parks and Recreation
Michelle Rambo, Recording Secretary

1. CALL TO ORDER: Schultz called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m.

2. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA: None
3. APPROVE MEETING MINUTES: April 25, 2022
Approved by Speich, Second by DeBettignies. Ayes: 6 Nays: 0
4. AUDIENCE INPUT: None
5. DISCUSSION (Response to Audience Input): None
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
a. City Park in Dunmore Development - MOTION by DeBettignies to support the Park
design for the public park in the Dunmore Development. SECOND by Schaap.
Ayes: 6 Nays: 0 Motion passed.
b. City Code – Park Rules: MOTION by Speich to recommend that the Parks and
Recreation Commission support sending the proposed changes to the park rules to the City
Council for consideration. SECOND by Angell.
Ayes: 6 Nays: 0 Motion passed.
7. NEW BUSINESS:
McMenomy Woods and Vermillion Highlands Greenway - MOTION by DeBettignies to support
the purchase and development of the McMenomy Woods as a City Park and Greenway.
SECOND by Flury. Ayes: 6 Nays: 0 Motion passed.
a. Director’s Report
Park Improvement Fund Balance as of April 30, 2022: $3,841,452.78
Inflows to the Park Improvement Fund last month were as follows:
Dedication fees – $0
Grants/Other - $0
Interest - $3515.21
Donations - $0
Expenditures - $17,248.50 (Dunmore Park design, Flint Hills Building Fees and Skate Park Site
Improvements)
8. ADJOURNMENT - MOTION by DeBettignies to adjourn the meeting. SECOND by Angell.
Ayes: 6 Nays: 0 Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:58 p.m.
