REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 14, 2022
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the meeting of the Environment & Sustainability Commission
(ESC) of the City of Rosemount was called to order on June 14, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers, City Hall, 2875 145th Street West, Rosemount.
Attendees included: Commission Chair Victoria Schlautman, and Commissioners Renee Burman,
Tina Angerer, Erin Delaney and new commissioner Eric Johnson. Commissioner Kristen Andrews
was absent.
Staff present included the following;
- City Engineer Erickson and Stormwater Specialist Byron

3.a. Issuance of Oath – Eric Johnson
City Engineer Erickson administered oath.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion by Angerer Second by Delaney
Motion to approve the minutes of the April 12, 2022 Environment and Sustainability
Commission meeting.
Ayes: 5.
Nays: None. Motion carried.
PRESENTATIONS
OLD BUSINESS
6.a. 2022 Goals Delegation & Updates
Stormwater Specialist Byron updated commissioners that the City is currently reviewing a potential
agreement with Energy Management Solutions (EMS). The agreement includes installation of charging
stations on city property. The construction of the organics drop site has started. Advertisement and
recruitment for the drop site will start in mid-July. The opening is tentatively scheduled for mid-
August.
Commissioners were presented the statistics of No Mow May. Over 270 residents signed up to
participate in program. Positive feedback was received from the participating residents. The City
participated in the program in limited park locations. Commissioners briefly discussed the city
implementing more natural/pollinator friendly areas on city property.
6.b. 2022 Education & Outreach Calendar
Commission Chair Schlautman lead discussion regarding the upcoming blog posts. Commissioner
Delaney will be posting a blog post in June about National Pollinator Week.
Commissioners briefly discussed Leprechaun Days and what they will have at their table to engage the
community.

6.c. GreenStep Cities Planning
No updates were provided.
NEW BUSINESS
7.a. Work Session Discussion
Commissioners discussed which month the work session would take place in. The topics of the work
session will consist of goal reallocation and discussion. Work session is tentatively scheduled for
September following the regular ESC meeting.
Motion by Johnson Second by Delaney
Motion to hold a work session discussion in September.
Ayes: 5.
Nays: None. Motion carried.

There being no further business to come before the Environment & Sustainability Commission and
upon a motion by Schlautman and a second by Angerer the meeting was adjourned at 6:29 p.m.
