WORK SESSION PROCEEDINGS
SEPTEMBER 6, 2022
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special work session of the Rosemount City Council was
held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 5:33 pm at Rosemount City Hall, Council Chambers, 2875
145th Street West.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Councilmember Weisensel, Block, Essler and Freske.
Staff present included City Administrator Martin, Public Works Director Egger, Finance Director
Malecha, Parks & Recreation Director Schultz, Chief of Police Dahlstrom and Community
Development Director Kienberger.
DISCUSSION
2.a. 3rd Quarter Goals Update
City Administrator Martin provided a recap of the goal status of the current status and next steps
regarding connecting and engaging the community, growing Rosemount, enhancing quality life and
developing a high performing organization.
Staff will provide a 4th quarter update prior to the next goal setting session at the beginning of 2023.
UPDATES
3.a. Project Updates
i. Parks and Recreation
Director of Parks & Recreation Schultz updated council on the Bella Vista/Greenway
project and the upcoming Food Truck Festival.
ii. Community Development
Community Development Director Kienberger updated council on the zoning code update
project that has an anticipated completion date of March 2023. Also, updated council on
upcoming items on the planning commission.
3.b. Staff Reports
i. Upcoming Council Events
Councilmember Essler questioned staff what method is used to maintain paths within
Rosemount and if we should consider using the same method used for roads.
Councilmember Freske provided an update on the upcoming Halloween Walk event in
Central Park.
Councilmember Weisensel reminded council of the Dakota Aggregate Open House.
Mayor Droste shared a recent flier received from Dakota County Chamber’s regarding
future events.

Upon a motion by Droste, second by Block the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 6:55 pm.
