RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to award a contract to Friedges Landscaping in the
amount of $62,500 for replacing the irrigation system at Winds Park.
BACKGROUND
The Parks and Recreation Department with assistance from Public Works staff recently requested quotes
for the replacement of the irrigation system at Winds Park. We received quotes from two landscaping
contractors. The funding for the project would come from the Long Term Parks Capital Improvement Plan
Budget. Listed below are the quotes received:
Bidder Base Bid Price
Friedges landscaping $62,500
Carefree Lawn $89,768
Kelley Green No response
This project will start and be completed in the fall of 2022.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending that the City Council award a contract to Friedges Landscaping, in the amount of
$62,500 for replacing the irrigation at Winds Park.
