REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
JULY 25, 2022
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the regular Utility Commission meeting of the City of Rosemount
was called to order on July 25, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Room, City Hall, 2875 145th Street West,
Rosemount.
Attendees included: Commission Greg Johnson and Commissioner Vanessa Demuth.
Staff present included the following:
Mayor Droste, City Administrator Martin, Public Works Director Egger, and Recording Secretary
Simonson.
Guests included the following:
Brad Wiess and Chad Katzenberger from Short Elliot Hendrikson

PRESENTATION
Brad Wiess and Chad Katzenberger from Short Elliot Hendrikson (SEH) gave presentation on three water
treatment plant options. The commission was presented these options based off the evaluation of the city’s
current requirements and projected growth and demand.

OLD BUSINESS
7.a. Water Efficiency and Stormwater Rebate Update
Public Works Director Egger stated that a new cycle started in July for the water efficiency and stormwater
rebates and therefore not much activity available to report on.
7.b. Meter Shortage
Public Works Director Egger provided the commission with an update regarding the meter shortage. The
shortage continues due to backorder of materials needed. The City currently has 5 meters left and the vendor
has indicated it will be another 2-3 weeks before more meters can be delivered.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT
9.a. City Project Update
Public Works Director Egger provided the commission with an update regarding upcoming and ongoing
projects.
9.b. Well Pumping Report
Public Works Director Egger presented the current well pumping records and noted that Q2 is closing out
with at almost 300,000,000 gallons which is significantly less than previous years.
9.c. Action Item / Issues List
None
9.d. Set Meeting Agenda for September 26, 2022
i. Rate Model Preliminary Review
ii. Modify bylaws to reduce official meeting schedule to quarterly – Commissioners Johnson and
Demuth indicated they are open to changing to quarterly meetings.
iii. Other standard items – 3rd commissioner to be sworn in at City Council meeting on August 1st.
Their first Utility Commission meeting will be September 26, 2022.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Johnson adjourned the meeting at 7:02 p.m.
