Story Walk - The Parks and Recreation Department teamed up with The Robert Trail Library to offer a
Storywalk in Central Park during MEA break. The beautiful weather brought out the families to take a
self-guided walk in the park while reading the book Ten Pigs by Derek Anderson. A Storywalk is an
innovative and delightful way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same
time. Our next Storywalk will be held during Spring Break in March of 2023.
Special Event - The Parks and Recreation Department collaborated to offer the Grandma and Me Tea
and the Grandpa and Me Workshop at the Steeple Center during MEA break. Fun memories were made
for the grandparents and kids alike who spent time together. These events featured crafts, projects, games,
and a photo booth along with a variety of snacks. These events were very well received, and we will
continue to offer grandparent and grandchild events in the future.
Recycling Opportunity - Last chance for yard signs! Drop off rigid plastic or cardboard yard signs for
special recycling in the lower City Hall parking lot until Nov. 20. Stretchy plastic signs, flags or fabric signs
are not accepted and go in your trash.
Pumpkin Composting - The City of Rosemount will be offering a pumpkin collection the weekend after
Halloween! Drop your pumpkins in the labeled dumpsters on the north end of the lower City Hall parking
lot on November 4th, 5th, or 6th! Please no painted pumpkins.
