RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the attached resolution designating the
seven polling places for the 2023 Elections
BACKGROUND
State law requires municipalities and school districts to designate, by resolution, their polling places
for the following year. The designation must be made by December 31 for the following year and no
designation of a new or different polling place shall become effective less than 90 days prior to an
election.
The proposed polling places for 2023:
Precinct 1: Rosemount Community Center, 13885 South Robert Trail (Banquet Hall)
Precinct 2: St. John’s Lutheran Church, 14385 Blaine Avenue East
Precinct 3: First Baptist Church, 14400 Diamond Path West
Precinct 4: Rosemount Steeple Center, 14375 South Robert Trail
Precinct 5: The Well United Methodist Church, 14770 Canada Avenue (East Side Gym)
Precinct 6: The Well United Methodist Church, 14770 Canada Avenue (West Side Gym)
Precinct 7: Rosemount Community Center, 13885 South Robert Trail (Auditorium)
Precinct 8: Hosanna Church, 14401 Biscayne Avenue West
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve the attached Resolution designating the eight polling
locations for 2023.

RESOLUTION 2022 - XX
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DESIGNATION OF
POLLING PLACES FOR 2023 ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Rosemount is divided into eight precincts for the election of four Council
Members and one Mayor; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute requires municipalities to designate, by resolution, their polling
places for the following year, before December 31
WHEREAS, no designation of a new or different polling place shall become effective less than 90
days prior to an election, including school district elections or referenda, and no polling place
changes may occur during the period between the state primary and the state general election,
except that a new polling place may be designated to replace a polling place that has become
unavailable for use.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Rosemount hereby designates the
following precinct locations for all 2023 elections;
