RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve a resolution to appoint the Finance Director
and Police Chief to the LOGIS Board of Directors
BACKGROUND
The City currently utilizes LOGIS for police and fire applications, IT equipment and software purchases,
and network support. The upcoming financial software and utility billing software conversions will also be
with LOGIS. Each city that is part of the consortium designates a director and alternate director to the
LOGIS Board.
Currently, Police Chief Mikael Dahlstrom is the appointed director with no alternate. Staff would like to
update the director to Finance Director Teah Malecha with Chief Dahlstrom as the alternate. Chief
Dahlstrom represents the City on many Boards and this change will assist with demands on his time.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approving the attached Resolution Designating Board of Director Appointees for the
Local Government Information System (LOGIS) Association.

A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING BOARD OF DIRECTOR APPOINTEES FOR
THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (LOGIS) ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City of Rosemount, has identified specific technology needs to carry out
various functions and services; and
WHEREAS, it has determined that it can best met those needs by remaining a member of
the LOGIS Association and utilizing their software applications and support services; and
WHEREAS, it desires to designate Finance Director Teah Malecha and Police Chief Mikael
Dahlstrom as the Director and Alternate Director of the LOGIS Board of Directors
respectively,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
hereby designates these appointees to the LOGIS Board of Directors as noted above.
ADOPTED this 21st day of February, 2023, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount.
