HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 10-24-22PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES OCTOBER 24, 2022 CALL TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission of the City of Rosemount was called to order on October 24, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall, Council Chambers, 2875 145th Street West, Rosemount. Attendees included: Commission Chair Mike Eliason, Vice-Chair James Bonkoski, and Commissioners Scott McDonald, David Speich, John Debettignies, Sharry Angell and Jim Young Commissioners Andrea Schaap and Emily Flury were absent. Staff present included the following; Parks &Recreation Director Schultz, and Recording Secretary Rambo ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA None APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Speich Second by Young Motion to approve the minutes of the July 25, 2022 meeting. Ayes: 7. Nays: 0. Motion carried. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Speich Second by Young Motion to approve the minutes of the August 22, 2022 meeting. Ayes: 7. Nays: 0. Motion carried. AUDIENCE INPUT None DISCUSSION None UNFINISHED BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS 7.a. Roers Development Plans – MOTION by Debettignies to collect cash in-lieu of land for the park’s dedication in the amount of $562,500 for the Roers Development Project. SECOND by Young. Ayes: 7. Nays: 0. Motion carried. 7.b. Schafer Richardson Development Plans – MOTION by Young to collect cash in-lieu of land for the park’s dedication in the amount of $762,500 for the Schafer Richardson Development Project. SECOND by Bonkoski. Ayes: 7. Nays: 0. Motion carried. 7.c. Director’s Report Park Improvement Fund Balance as of August 31, 2022: $4,336,197.28 Inflows to the Park Improvement Fund last month were as follows: Dedication fees - $483,750 Grants/Other - $0 Interest - $4721.77 Donations - $0 Expenditures - $14,583.14 (Greenway Trail, PW / Central Parks Master Plan and Skate Park Professional Services) PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES OCTOBER 24, 2022 ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Parks and Recreation Commission and upon a motion by Debettignies and a second by Angell the meeting was adjourned at 7:54 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Michelle Rambo, Recording Secretary
