CALL TO ORDER: Eliason called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 2. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: None APPROVE MEETING MINUTES: July 27, 2020 Approved by Young, Second by DeBettignies Ayes: 8 Nays: 0 4. AUDIENCE INPUT: None 5. DISCUSSION: None 6. OLD BUSINESS: None 7. NEW BUSINESS: a. Flint Hills Park and Trail Head Building — The Parks and Recreation Department is working with ISG Engineering / Architects to design the proposed park and trailhead building that we plan to partner with Dakota County at the Flint Hills Athletic Complex. Commissioners viewed four design options and it was decided that Director Schultz will take comments back to the Architect and present the Commission with revised options at the October meeting. b. Flint Hills Athletic Complex Fencing and Netting Plan — The Parks and Recreation Department has been working with the City's Public Works Staff on devising a fencing and netting plan for the Flint Hills Athletic Complex. Feedback will be taken to the Public Works staff and more information will be brought back to the Commissioners at a later date. c. Director's Report Park Improvement Fund Balance as of August 31, 2020: $2,197,770.30 Inflows to the Park Improvement Fund last month were as follows: Dedication fees — $93,229.79 Grants/Other - $0 Interest - $82.03 Donations - $0 Expenditures - $223,266.65 (Greenway Trail Designs, Skate Park, Carroll's Woods Restoration, Flint Hills Building Design and Horseshoe Lake final inspection) 8. ADJOURNMENT - MOTION by Farrell to adjourn the meeting. SECOND by Young. Ayes: 8 Nays: 0 Motion passed.
