RECOMMENDED ACTION: Acknowledge the Award Earned by the City and Finance Staff
SUMMARY
The City of Rosemount has received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of
Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 2021 Annual Comprehensive Finance Report
(ACFR).
The GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting
and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment for the City and staff.
This is the 26th consecutive year that City has received this prestigious national award. In order to receive
this award, the government entity needs to publish an easily readable and efficiently organized annual
comprehensive financial report and satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and
applicable legal requirements. The Certificate of Achievement is valid for one year.
