RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:
Motion to fill Commission vacancies with the following appointments:
• James Bonkoski reappoint for a 3-year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission;
• John DeBettignies reappoint for a 3-year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission;
• Jennifer Edminson for a 3-year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission;
• Melissa Kenninger reappoint for a 3-year term on the Planning Commission;
• Kurt Whitman appoint for a 3-year term on the Planning Commission;
• Tim Beaudette appoint for a 6-year term on the Port Authority;
• Vanessa Demuth appoint for a 3-year term on the Utility Commission
• Kip Springer appoint for a 3-year term on the Environment & Sustainability Commission;
• Kristen Andrews reappoint for a 3-year term on the Environment & Sustainability
Commission
• Kate Reed for a 1-year term on the Environment & Sustainability Commission (youth seat)
BACKGROUND
Each year the City Council appoints commissioners to various city boards. This year, the following
positions were open for appointment; three seats on the Parks and Recreation Commission, one seat on
the Utility Commission, one seat on Port Authority, two seats on the Planning Commission, and two seats
on Environment & Sustainability Commission and one youth seat on the Environment & Sustainability
Commission.
A number of skilled residents applied for these seats, and we greatly appreciate the interest shown by
residents to serve the community.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of above motion.
