DISCUSSION
The Environment and Sustainability Commission (ESC) developed an Education & Outreach Calendar. It
is a working document that will be updated as the year progresses. Some outreach items will be assigned to
specific commissioners for completion, such as some of the blog posts. The intent of this item is to review
the calendar for updates and share ideas. Highlights are below:
1. April blog post – Neighborhood Cleanups
2. May blog post ideas:
a. No Mow May and/or Pollinators
3. Home & Business Expo Outreach Recap
4. Holidays/events of note
a. April 18, 4:45-5:45, City Hall – Volunteer & Commissioner Recognition Event
b. April 22 – Earth Day
c. April 28 – Arbor Day
d. April 29 – Arbor Day Celebration and Tree Giveaway
e. May – No Mow May
f. May – Arbor Month
