WORK SESSION PROCEEDINGS
APRIL 4, 2023
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a work session of the Rosemount City Council was held
on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 5:02 pm at Rosemount City Hall, Council Chambers, 2875 145th Street
West.
Mayor Weisensel called the meeting to order with Councilmember Freske, Essler, Theisen and
Klimpel.
Environmental and Sustainability Commission members in attendance; Kristen Andrews, Tina
Angerer, Eric Johnson and Erin Delaney.
DISCUSSION
2.a. Environment and Sustainability Progress Report
The Environment and Sustainability Commission (ESC) discussed 2022 achievements and future
goals of the commission.
Councilmembers questioned the City’s status of the Green Steps Program and suggested the
commission work towards achieving the next steps with the understanding it may require additional
staff time.
Councilmembers suggested additional collaboration with staff to communicate ESC tips, Electric
Vehicle Charging stations in Rosemount, a community survey involving ESC questions and
engagement with HOA’s.
Councilmember Freske also suggested better informing ESC about future developments, the
planning commission procedures in efforts to be able to cross check the current processes against
the Green Step Program.

Upon a motion by Weisensel, second by Essler the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 5:55 pm.
