ADJOURNMENT Page 1 of 4 ROSEMOUNT PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS APRIL 22, 2024 CALL MEETING TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Rosemount Parks and Recreation Commission was held on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 6:00 PM in room 200 of the Steeple Center, 14375 South Robert Trail. Chair Eliason called the meeting to order with Commissioners McDonald, Speich, and Bonkoski. Commissioners DeBettignies and Edminson were absent. Staff present included the following; Parks and Recreation Director Dan Schultz and Recording Secretary Michelle Rambo ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA APPROVAL OF MINUTES a. Minutes of the March 18, 2024 Regular Meeting Motion by Bonkoski Second by Speich Motion to approve the minutes of the March 18, 2024, Regular Meeting Ayes: 4. Nays: None. Motion carried. AUDIENCE INPUT DISCUSSION (Response to Audience Input): UNFINISHED BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS a. Playground Proposals – Talamore, Dunmore and Camfield Parks The City sent out proposals for new playground equipment at Talamore and Dunmore Parks and for the replacement of the equipment at Camfield Park. The proposals were on display at the meeting on Monday, April 22nd and were discussed by the Commission. Residents living near the two new parks were also invited to the meeting. The staff is planning for the Commission to make recommendations to the City Council. b. Dunmore Park - General Improvement Bids Motion by Bonkoski Second by Speich Page 2 of 4 Motion to accept the bids and recommend City Council award the contract for Dunmore Park to the low bidder, VADA Contracting LLC, for the amount of $125,000 Ayes: 4. Nays: None. Motion Carried. c. Director's Report Park Improvement Fund Balance as of March 31, 2024: $7,931,755.50 Inflows to the Park Improvement fund last month were as follows: Dedication fees - $2,252,500.00 Grants/Other - $920,000.00 (tree replacement money) Interest - $12,921.78 Donations - $0 Expenditures - $206,658.72 (various park designs and construction projects) ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Parks and Recreation Commission at the regular meeting and upon a motion by Bonkoski and a second by McDonald, the meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Michelle Rambo Recording Secretary Page 3 of 4 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Parks & Recreation Commission Regular Meeting: May 20, 2024 AGENDA ITEM: Parks Tour AGENDA SECTION: NEW BUSINESS PREPARED BY: Dan Schultz, Parks & Recreation Director AGENDA NO. 7.a.
